Students are expected to be in uniform every day. We wear uniforms because we are doing something important at our school, the formation and education of our children. We also wear uniforms because we are on the same team and are working toward the same goals. Uniforms should not distract from that goal but should help unite us in our mission. Uniforms should fit well and are to be clean, neat, and presentable. Shirts should be tucked in. For more detailed information, please visit the school handbook. Notes about the uniform:
Shoes
No sandals, crocs, slippers, slides, or Uggs
Cowboy boots may be worn under pants
No high heels or wedges (heels that are clearly more than the natural heel size for a boot)
Accent color can be any muted color: no neon, sparkles, or lights
Socks
Socks should be ankle length or higher
Skirts/Shorts
Length of skirts and shorts should not be more than 2 inches above the Knee
Leggings should only be navy or white (no holes)
Wear little shorts under jumpers/skirts
Shorts are not to be tight or spandex like unless worn under a skirt or jumper
Jewelry
One necklace, bracelet or ring– they make too much noise and become a distraction if more
No fake nails
No dangling earrings
No chunky chains for boys
Hair
No feathers or tinsle
No mohawks or died hair colors. Hair must look well kept, off the ears and collar
Headbands should not have accessories on them and should be neutral colors
Shirts
Light blue shirts must have the school name embroidered on them – (Bushwells will embroider any shirt you bring them or school parent Kylor Bailey kyfry15@hotmail.com)
White shirts do not need to be worn exclusively on Tuesdays this year
